Getting to Kraków City Centre from Kraków Airport
(John Paul II International Airport)

The airport is located 10 km from the Kraków City Centre with regular connections to the City Centre by trains, buses and taxis.

Trains: Departing every 20 minutes, the trip will take 15 minutes. The current fare (Kraków Airport – Kraków Main Railway Station) is 2 EUR (8 PLN) one way and 3,5 EUR (14 PLN) return. Tickets can be purchased at vending machines (cash and credit cards are accepted) or directly on the train. The timetable is available here.

Buses: Take bus number 208 or 292 from the airport to the Main Railway Station. The trip will take 40 minutes. The current fare is 1 EUR (3,40 PLN).

Taxis: Taxi fare (Kraków Airport – Kraków City Centre) is approximately 20-25 EUR (80-100PLN)

Currency

Polish Zloty (PLN). 1€ = ~4 PLN. EURO is generally not accepted as a form of payment. There are numerous currency exchange offices at the airport and in Kraków City Center. Major credit cards are widely accepted and ATMs are easily available all around.

Walking

AGH-UST Campus is located within a 10 min-walk from the Old Town. It is easily accessible also by trams and buses. Most places of interest in Kraków are within walking distance.

A walk from the Main Square to AGH-UST Campus takes approximately 20 minutes. From the Main Square to the Kazimierz Quarter the walk takes approximately 15 minutes.

Public transport

Frequent fast trams link the Old Town and Kazimierz, the Jewish District, with AGH-UST Campus. Tickets are available in kiosks or vending machines. Taxis

Many taxi companies charge an initial fee of 5 PLN and then 2,30/3,50 PLN per km (standard fare/night & holiday fare).
